§ 13-5. Fireworks prohibited.

It is lawful to sell fireworks inside the corporate limits of the City of Chesnee. It is unlawful to shoot fireworks inside the corporate limits of the city. Before any fireworks will be permitted for public exhibition in connection with special celebrations, permission shall first be obtained from the mayor that such fireworks shall be under the supervision of an expert who shall be present in order to handle, maintain or fire same and in the case of such exhibition the parties in charge shall be held strictly responsible for all damage to persons or property resulting in the use of such fireworks.

All public exhibitions of fireworks permitted under this section shall be concluded not later than 10:00 p.m.
