§ 13-8. Yard sale regulations.

(a)

The City Council of the City of Chesnee proposes the following regulation shall be followed in holding yard sales inside the city limits of Chesnee:

(1)

Only two (2) yard sales will be allowed by one family during a years within the city limits of Chesnee.

(2)

Each person holding a yard sale inside the city limits must obtain a permit from the clerk's office at City Hall prior to the sale, and must pay a five dollars ($5.00) fee.

(b)

Any person having a yard sale within the city limits without first obtaining a permit and paying the five dollar ($5.00) fee is in violation of this section, and is guilty of a misdemeanor.

(c)

Any person having more than two (2) yard sales within the city limits within a year must obtain a business license from the clerk's office at City Hall, or will be subject to a fine.
