§ 13-53. Notification of property owner.

  • Whenever it is made to appear to the city clerk or any other proper officer of the city that the conditions set forth in section 13-52 exist on any real property within the city and are a menace to public health, or a nuisance, he shall notify the owner of the property by addressing to and mailing to him at his last known address a notice setting forth the provisions of section 13-52. If the owner is unknown or resides outside the city, the notice shall also be mailed to the tenant or the person in charge of the premises.
