§ 4-6. Riding of horses within the city prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any horses to be ridden inside the city, either on the sidewalks or in the streets. It shall be unlawful for horses to be led through the city, either on the sidewalks or in the streets, or to allow horses to roam through the city.

    (b)

    Any person found violating the provisions of this article shall be subject to being found guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) and/or thirty (30) days in jail.

Ord. No. 122, §§ 1, 2, adopted November 13, 2012, repealed the former Art. I, § 4-6, and enacted a new § 4-6 as set out herein. The former § 4-6 pertained to similar subject matter and derived from an Ordinance of June 21, 1995.
